Rightmove Group in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead one or more cross-functional product development teams. You will enable high performance, sustain delivery focus, and foster a culture that mirrors our values.

As a delivery enabler and strategic partner to Product Managers, you will shape engineering as we plan, grow talent, and scale systems across the business. Hybrid work applies with 2 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineers in a product development environment.
• Proven delivery track record and improving team ways of working.
• Strong planning, estimation, scope and stakeholder alignment skills.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to build trust across diverse teams.
• Calm, thoughtful and pragmatic approach with coaching focus.

Responsibilities

• People and Team Development: coach, mentor and set clear development goals; foster inclusive environment; align career growth with team success; model high standards.
• Planning and Delivery: partner with PM to align priorities and scope; ensure team structure and skills; monitor delivery flow; manage risks and blockers.
• Technical Stewardship: maintain long-term health of systems; collaborate with tech leads and architects; promote testing, observability and performance best practices.
• Hiring and Talent Development: lead hiring and onboarding; shape team structure for future work; support calibration and promotions with fairness.
• Collaboration and Leadership: build strong PM partnership; translate technical to business context; drive cross-functional momentum and outcomes.
