Monzo is hiring Engineering Managers to lead cross-functional, autonomous squads that tackle mission-driven initiatives across Platform, Core App, and Expansion. You will own delivery outcomes and develop best-in-class engineering talent in a highly collaborative environment.
You'll coach engineers, partner with Technical Leads and Product Managers, drive technical initiatives, and maintain a high bar for engineering excellence while keeping the leadership structure shallow and focused on
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading software engineering teams.
- Strong delivery background with a track record of shipping.
- Ability to coach and develop engineers while aligning with product goals.
- Excellent communication with stakeholders across multiple squads.
Responsibilities
- Lead a squad of 7-10 engineers, coaching and developing them.
- Own delivery outcomes and drive technical initiatives.
- Collaborate with product and tech leadership to align roadmaps.
- Ensure high engineering standards and performance.
