Aveni is seeking an Engineering Manager in the United Kingdom to lead and grow one of our engineering teams. You will own performance, growth and culture while partnering with Product and the Lead Engineer to create an environment of ownership and high autonomy.

A strong engineering background is essential to earn credibility and guide the team. You will drive hiring with our Recruitment team, shape processes, and set norms for responsible AI-enabled software development.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering background with hands-on capability.
• Proven Engineering Manager/Team Lead experience with performance ownership.
• Familiarity with Node.js, Python, React and credible technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering team, owning performance, growth and culture.
• Partner with Product on roadmap planning and context-driven work.Own delivery, unblock issues and ensure commitments.
• Drive hiring with Recruitment, design interview processes and candidate experience.
• Shape team processes, automation and tooling for improved velocity and quality.
• Foster a culture of responsible, AI-assisted engineering and governance.
