Intec Select Limited in London is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing, scalable software team. You will bridge technology, strategy and leadership, set engineering culture, and embed best practices across the business in a hands-on, approachable way.

You’ll mentor engineers, shape roadmaps with product, oversee architecture, run performance reviews, drive hiring and onboarding, and ensure delivery through Agile, CI/CD and robust testing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software teams and delivering results.
• Strong background in modern cloud-native development.
• Hands-on approach with code reviews and design input.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and distributed architectures.
• Ability to mentor, performance-review and grow engineers.
• Familiarity with Agile and scalable engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor software engineers across experience levels.
• Run 1:1s, performance reviews and career development planning.
• Drive hiring, onboarding and retention across distributed teams.
• Oversee architecture decisions aligned with long-term strategy.
• Stay hands-on with code reviews, design input and troubleshooting.
• Partner with product to define roadmaps and prioritize work.
• Run sprint planning, track velocity and remove blockers.
• Champion testing, CI/CD, monitoring and observability.
• Guide incident response and root cause analysis.
