Job summary
Canonical is seeking an engineering manager to reboot Landscape for Ubuntu, leading a global team of engineers. You will guide architecture, delivery and process improvements while growing talent and aligning with product managers.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or similar degree.
- Software development experience in Python or Golang.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Practical experience with Linux system administration.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a region-based team of engineers.
- Develop talent through coaching and career development.
- Set and manage expectations with engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Lead modern, agile software development practices.
- Ensure a healthy engineering culture aligned with company values.
- Provide architectural leadership and deliver technical roadmaps.
- Collaborate with product managers and other teams.
- Engage with open source community and partners.
- Travel for internal and external events 4–6 weeks per year.
