Job summary

Nexus Careers Group Ltd in London is seeking an Engineering Manager to take overall responsibility for delivering engineering services across a high-profile Canary Wharf site, leading the engineering team and ensuring critical M&E infrastructure is operated safely and efficiently.

You will oversee maintenance, drive reliability and continuous improvement, manage contractors, and work closely with the client and operations teams to uphold safety, compliance and performance.

Qualifications

• We are looking for an experienced engineering professional with a strong technical background in a critical or high-profile environment.
• Relevant experience may include: Critical banking or financial sites; Data centres; Mission-critical facilities; Large corporate headquarters; High-profile commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing the site engineering team
• Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance
• Ensuring the resilience of critical M&E infrastructure
• Managing engineering incidents and technical escalations
• Overseeing contractors and specialist service partners
• Managing safe systems of work and permit procedures
• Supporting shutdowns and critical maintenance activities
• Ensuring statutory compliance and engineering best practice
• Driving site performance, reliability and continuous improvement
• Building strong relationships with the client and wider operational teams
