Job summary

AVK UK Ltd is seeking an Engineering Manager to own the engineering strategy across AVK UK’s three sites—Chesterfield (Staveley), Hyde and Corby—while coordinating regular travel. You will lead multi-year automation and digitalisation programs, align engineering activity with safety, quality and regulatory standards, and drive performance improvements across site operations.

You’ll develop and mentor a high-performing engineering team, manage budgets and capex, champion LEAN methods and Industry

Qualifications

• Degree/HND in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or similar).
• Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in automation projects and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Leading and delivering a multi-year automation and digitalisation strategy.
• Driving engineering excellence, improving reliability, utilisation and OEE.
• Overseeing installation, commissioning and optimisation of equipment and layouts.
• Championing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives across all sites.
• Managing and developing a high-performing team of engineers.
• Ensuring full compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Owning engineering budgets, capex planning and project delivery.
