Job summary

Maxwell Bond is partnering with a Liverpool-based business to recruit an Engineering Manager to lead a 6-person engineering team focused on modern web applications and APIs. The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic input to drive delivery, architecture, and AI-enabled advancements across the tech stack.

Qualifications

• Leads a team of 6+ software engineers across Azure/AWS serverless technologies.
• Owns delivery, planning and technical priorities for the team.
• Shapes architecture and technical roadmaps with Product and Tech Leads.
• Drives engineering best practices across quality, testing and observability.
• Supports hiring, coaching, performance reviews and career development.
• Identifies opportunities to improve tooling, automation and engineering processes.
• Introduces AI into the engineering function to apply AI across development, testing and delivery.

Responsibilities
