IntaPeople is recruiting an Engineering Manager to lead the Core engineering team in Cardiff, guiding AI-assisted modernisation across Oracle platforms and Java services used by millions. This is a leadership role focused on standards, delivery, and people development in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

You will shape technical direction, own delivery commitments, and drive a culture of psychological safety and performance. Hybrid work from Cardiff HQ with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• You have experience leading engineering teams and developing people.
• You have a track record of measurably improving delivery and output.
• You have experience introducing new ways of working and guiding teams through change.
• You can communicate confidently with senior leaders and business stakeholders.
• You have a software engineering background and can read code, critique design, and judge quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead modernisation: drive AI-assisted development, set standards, and measure impact on output and quality.
• Shape technical direction with engineering leads, including Oracle APEX migration and tooling investments.
• Own delivery: be accountable for commitments, remove blockers, report clearly to leadership.
• Build a great team: hire, coach, and develop engineers with a culture of safety and growth.
• Be the team’s voice: manage upwards, flag risks early, and maintain cross‑functional relationships.
