Ledgy is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a dedicated feature team. You will guide engineers building compensation, savings, and pension-related features, while remaining close to code and architectural decisions.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted engineering and responsible adoption of AI tools to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and maintain oversight. Based in the UK with a hybrid pattern (2 days in the London office) and remote options across the UK, Spain, Germany, Poland, and

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Engineering Management and 6+ years as a Software Engineer, with product-focused or domain-heavy experience.
• Strong people development and coaching skills with ability to build high-performing teams.
• Able to stay technically engaged while guiding teams and making principled tradeoffs.
• Experience using AI tools in engineering workflows with thoughtful judgment on when to apply them.
• Comfortable with evolving scope as Ledgy expands into new compensation forms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of engineers, including regular 1:1s and performance conversations
• Set technical and product direction with your team, not every detail yourself
• Stay involved in execution through code reviews, architecture discussions, and selective hands-on contributions
• Partner with Product and Design to translate complex domain needs into clear product experiences
• Model responsible AI-assisted engineering practices and apply them day-to-day
