Ledgy is expanding its engineering leadership across multiple product teams from a London base, with remote options across the UK. The Engineering Manager will mentor engineers, guide technical and product direction, and stay closely involved in code reviews, architecture discussions, and AI-assisted delivery to balance speed with quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Engineering Management.
• 6+ years as a Software Engineer, with product-focused or domain-heavy experience.
• Experience mentoring engineers and shaping technical direction.
• Hands-on coding and architectural involvement alongside management duties.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering practices and responsible use.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of engineers with regular 1:1s and performance conversations.
• Set technical and product direction with the team and participate in design reviews.
• Stay involved in execution through code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Partner with Product and Design to convert complex needs into usable product experiences.
• Model and apply responsible AI practices in day-to-day work.
