Job summary

Roc Search is seeking an Engineering Manager in Stevenage to lead a small, hands-on engineering team. You will own engineering capability, drive new product development from concept through manufacture, and push continuous improvement, technical compliance and product quality.

The ideal candidate combines strong engineering leadership with hands-on problem-solving, experience in product development and manufacturing, and the ability to balance quality, cost and delivery.

An excellent opportunity for an Engineering Manager to lead a small, hands-on engineering team within an established engineering business.

You’ll take ownership of engineering capability, leading new product development from concept through to manufacture, while driving continuous improvement, technical compliance and product quality.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, develop and support the Engineering team.
• Manage product development projects, from design and prototyping through to production.
• Drive engineering documentation, design change control and technical compliance.
• Provide technical support across production, testing, repair and customer-facing teams.
• Improve product performance, reliability, manufacturability and cost.
