Job summary

The Collective Network Limited in Cambridgeshire is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and develop the on-site engineering team. You will own the preventative maintenance strategy and drive reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement across the site.

In this hands-on leadership role you will manage budgets, coordinate with contractors and work closely with Operations to maximise site performance while maintaining high standards of quality, engineering and food safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Engineering Manager role.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge.
• Experience managing teams, contractors and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and support the engineering team
• Own the site's planned preventative maintenance strategy
• Drive improvements in reliability, efficiency and productivity
• Support the team with breakdowns when required
• Manage engineering budgets and external contractors

Are you an experienced Engineering Manager ready to take ownership of an engineering function and make a real impact on site performance?

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team within a busy manufacturing environment, driving reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement across the site.

The Role

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in an Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager role
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
• Excellent fault-finding skills
• Good understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLCs
• Experience managing teams, contractors and budgets
• A proactive, hands‑on approach to engineering and improvement
• Strong CMMS and computer skills
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent
