Job summary

CV Technical is seeking an Engineering Manager for a leading food manufacturing site in Bourne. You will lead the engineering function, drive reliability and deliver site improvement projects, working closely with Production, Technical and Operations teams.

The role requires experience in food manufacturing, strong leadership and a continuous improvement mindset, with proven ability to manage budgets, projects and teams. A recognised engineering qualification is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Experience managing or supervising an engineering team.
  • Proven experience delivering engineering or capital projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with ability to drive change.
  • Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent) desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and motivate the engineering team.
  • Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Deliver engineering and capital projects from concept to completion.

  • Collaborate with Production, Technical and Operations to improve site performance.

Salary: £60,000

Shift: Sunday - Thursday | Days

The Company

A well-established food manufacturing business is looking to strengthen its engineering department with the appointment of an Engineering Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager or an Engineering Team Leader/Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career.

The business is continuing to invest in its people, equipment and processes, making this an exciting time to join and play a key role in driving engineering performance and delivering site improvement projects.

The Role

As Engineering Manager, you will lead the engineering function, ensuring maximum equipment reliability while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, developing and motivating the engineering team.
  • Managing planned and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Delivering engineering and capital projects from concept through to completion.
