Job summary

Engineering Maintenance Planner role at E3 Recruitment near Tamworth, Wilnecote. You will plan all plant maintenance, managing electrical and mechanical tasks, with TPM-driven CI initiatives.

The role reports to the site Maintenance Manager and offers a permanent contract. Ideal candidates will have hands-on planning experience in an industrial setting, strong computer literacy (MS Office, SAP, CMMS), and a solid understanding of RAMS and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience as Engineering Planner on industrial plant and equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS (SAP, Shire Pirana).
  • Knowledge of RAMS and safety compliance.
  • Familiar with LEAN manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Plan all maintenance across the plant, electrical and mechanical, and develop scopes of work, method statements, risk assessments and parts lists.
  • Participate in meetings to review daily/weekly work schedules and backlogs and report data.
  • Carry out inductions, manage authorisation to work and work permits.
  • Provide clear communication to colleagues and production personnel to understand machinery operation for efficient fault rectification.
  • Promote the development and implementation of the Factory CMMS system.
  • Apply TPM tools and techniques to drive continuous improvement across the factory.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world class facility that has just undergone a multi-million pound investment, and is now at the next phase of becoming an industry leading manufacturing facility.

Engineering Maintenance Planner vacancy is offered on a Permanent basis. Working alongside and reporting directly to the site Maintenance Manager, you will take responsibility for all maintenance planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks on site.

The site is based near to the area of Tamworth so great for those commuting from Sutton Coldfield, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Walsall, or Lichfield.

  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday - Day's only position, flexible hours, e.g 7am-4pm Monday

Key Responsibilities of Engineering Maintenance Planner
  • To plan all Maintenance across the plant, both electrical and mechanical activities and developing scopes of work, method statements, risk assessments and parts lists etc.
  • Participate in meetings to review daily/weekly work schedules and backlogs and report data
  • Carry out inductions, managing authorisation to work and work permits
  • Provide good communication skills to colleagues & production personnel to develop an understanding of the machinery operation so faults can be rectified efficiently.
  • Promote the development and implementation of the Factory CMMS system.
  • Application of TPM Tools & Techniques to generate Continuous Improvement throughout all areas of the Factory and support process improvement throughout the factory.
Qualifications & Experience for Engineering Maintenance Planner
  • Previous experience working within an engineering capacity with demonstrable knowledge as an Engineering Planner & expertise as an Engineering Maintenance Planner on Industrial Plant & Equipment.
  • High level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems (such as SAP and Shire Pirana)
  • High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
  • Familiar with LEAN Manufacturing principles
  • Understanding of RAMS and compliance within an industrial engineering capacity
