Job summary

Cheshire College South & West is hiring a Vocational Trainer in Engineering to deliver training and assessment for learners up to Level 3 across Crewe and Ellesmere Port campuses.

Role involves workplace and classroom delivery, progression support, and ensuring timely apprenticeship completions, with safeguarding of learners as a priority. The post is permanent, part-time (7 hours/week), with salary £28,997–£43,748 pro rata per annum.

Qualifications

• Assessor qualification TAQA/A1 or willingness to work towards.
• Industry qualifications to Level 3 (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years industry experience.
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
• Full current driving licence and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Train and assess learners up to Level 3 in workplace and classroom.
• Support learner progress through assessment in the workplace and curriculum delivery.
• Ensuring timely achievement of apprenticeship frameworks and standards
• Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons in line with college policies.
