Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group, Site D in West Bromwich, is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead a 34-strong team and oversee maintenance for a high-volume poultry site processing 900,000 chickens per week. The role focuses on strategic change, reliability, and operational excellence.

You will drive modernisation of maintenance systems, develop innovative strategies, and mentor a capable engineering team to deliver results in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

Senior engineering leadership experience in a food/FMCG manufacturing environment.
Technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Hands-on leadership style suitable for a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering team through a period of significant change, championing innovation and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies and technologies to optimise production efficiency.
Oversee and enhance Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to reduce downtime and increase reliability.
Drive the CMMS to improve maintenance planning and execution.
Collaborate with site management and stakeholders to align engineering initiatives with business goals.
Mentor engineers and technical staff to foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
