Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group is seeking a hands-on Engineering Team Leader to support our poultry-processing night shift. This role suits an experienced, time-served, multi-skilled engineer who is strong mechanically and electrically and ready to take the next step into leadership.

As the senior engineering presence on shift, you will lead day-to-day activity, own decisions and set the standard for safe, disciplined engineering practice while supporting the wider team and working closely with Operations.

Qualifications

• Time-served, multi-skilled engineers with strong mechanical and electrical capability and an apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Fast-paced manufacturing experience; food/poultry experience advantageous.
• Supervisory or senior engineering experience or readiness for leadership.
• Calm, practical and decisive when responding to breakdowns and pressure.
• Lead by example and communicate clear expectations to engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer and senior presence on shift, set standards and priorities.
• Carry out hands-on fault-finding, repairs and maintenance across site equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, coordinate response and restore operations.
• Report, escalate and resolve breakdowns, faults and risks.
• Mentor and develop engineers on shift with practical direction.
• Maintain high standards of safety, food safety and housekeeping.
• Communicate shift performance and risks with Operations and stakeholders.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
