Job summary
Wise is seeking an Engineering Lead (EL1) for the People Technology Growth team in London to own the end-to-end internal employee experience. You will guide a globally distributed team, shaping the technical roadmap and ensuring scalable, reliable platform journeys for Wisers.
Lead product-minded engineering with a focus on internal customer satisfaction, collaboration with Product and Design, and a culture of ownership and accountability.
Qualifications
- Experience managing or leading engineering teams with coaching and performance reviews.
- Domain expertise in HR tech or employee experience platforms.
- Strong background delivering technical roadmaps and architectural decisions.
- Ability to collaborate across Product and Design to align capabilities with the product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap for the People Tech Growth team, actively identifying and addressing technical debt, reliability, security, and scalability concerns.
- Deliver the Journey Layer by supporting end-to-end employee journeys with engineering rigor.
- Maintain high product quality and deep care for the internal customer experience.
- Manage a global team, coach talent, conduct performance reviews, and drive onboarding of new hires.
