Job summary

Wise is hiring an Engineering Lead for the embedded finance team. You’ll mentor engineers, design and maintain scalable services, and drive technical decisions in partnership with a Product Manager to set the long‑term vision.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java or similar stacks.
• Deep understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Product mindset with focus on customer impact.
• Strong experience designing and optimizing relational databases.
• Advocacy of best coding practices, CI/CD and code reviews.
• Clear communication of technical concepts across teams.
