Job summary

Moulton Bulb Company in the United Kingdom is seeking an Engineering Lead to guide the engineering team in delivering proactive maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability, efficiency, and compliance with food safety and quality standards.

You will work with operations and management to resolve issues, support continuous improvement, and ensure all activities meet BRC, customer, and Health & Safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled engineer with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Project management experience to prioritise workload.
• Ability to liaise with cross-functional team members and manage scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide the engineering team to support daily activities.
• Ensure proactive and preventative maintenance requirements are met.
• Collaborate with Packhouse Manager and team to maximise equipment efficiency.
• Develop and maintain SOPs with the training team for engineering processes.
• Identify improvements and ensure processes are followed.
• Complete maintenance, servicing and calibration on factory equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments prior to on-site engineering works.
• Manage external contractors and ensure policy compliance.
• Arrange and perform maintenance of fire alarm aspiration system.
• Assist in addressing faults and false alarms from the site fire alarm.
• Help reduce supplier and service costs while maintaining quality.
• Assist in commissioning and installation of new machinery or refurbishments.
