Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Engineering Lead to support the Engineering Manager in day-to-day delivery of engineering services across our estate in Northampton. You will supervise engineers, coordinate contractors and maintenance activities, and ensure safe, compliant and efficient service delivery.

This hands-on role requires a strong background in electrical, mechanical or building services engineering, experience supervising teams, RAMS and safety approvals, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical, mechanical or building services engineering background with relevant qualifications.
• Experience supervising engineers, contractors or maintenance teams in building maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance, RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
• Experience coordinating multiple engineering suppliers and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Manager with day-to-day management of engineering services across the administration office portfolio.
• Coordinate planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance activities.
• Provide hands-on supervision and technical support to engineers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor defects, remedial works and engineering records to ensure actions are evidenced.
• Promote a safety-first engineering culture and act as first point of escalation for issues.
