Mitie Group plc is seeking an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Supervisor to lead a multidisciplinary team across day and shift patterns, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a large operational estate in Swansea.

You will ensure safe working practices, coordinate shutdowns, manage contractors, and drive high standards of safety, compliance and workmanship.

The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge and the ability to prioritise workloads in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in complex electrical and mechanical environments.
• Experience supervising a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Experience across day and shift working arrangements.
• Experience coordinating planned, reactive and corrective maintenance.
• Strong understanding of engineering safety, permits and isolations.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding capabilities.
• Ability to provide clear technical direction to engineers and contractors.

Responsabilités

• Lead, supervise and support a multidisciplinary team of electrical and mechanical engineers across day and shift patterns.
• Plan, allocate and prioritise planned, reactive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure resources and competencies available to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor maintenance performance, outstanding work orders and remedial actions; escalate risks.
• Provide technical guidance when investigating complex plant faults.
• Ensure activities are carried out safely per legislation and site procedures.
• Manage safe systems of work, permits, isolations and risk controls.
• Coordinate plant shutdowns and intrusive maintenance to minimise disruption.
• Coordinate specialist engineering contractors when required.
• Monitor standards and quality; challenge incomplete work.
• Support compliance, maintenance records and documentation.
• Assist investigations, incident reviews and root-cause analysis.
• Identify recurring issues and improve asset reliability.
• Carry out regular plant room and engineering workplace inspections.
• Support development and welfare of the engineering team.
• Promote safety culture and high standards of discipline and housekeeping.
