Job summary

Saputo Inc. is seeking an Engineering Lead for the Wensleydale Creamery site in Hawes. You will lead the Engineering team, maintain the plant and facilities, and align with EBITDA goals as part of the Plant Leadership Team.

You will develop and execute maintenance plans, drive improvements, coach staff, and ensure safe, compliant operations by integrating Lean/CI approaches and MPS workflows.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree/chartered engineer or equivalent level.
• Minimum HND qualification.
• At least 5 years senior management experience in FMCG / food manufacturing.
• Decisive, resilient, able to work on your own initiative.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Good IT literacy and budget control experience.
• Knowledge of HSE, GMP; NEBOSH desirable.
• Able to use CMMS data to drive reliability.

Responsibilities

• Organise resources to deliver the production plan on time, cost, quality.
• Lead maintenance plan development using Best Practice and CI.
• Develop people engagement to meet long-term site goals.
• Build strong relationships within the Plant Leadership Team.
• Drive improvements in site efficiencies and KPIs.
• Ensure governance and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee training and development of engineering staff.
• Develop and manage the R&M budget.
• Utilise CMMS data to boost performance and reliability.
• Implement maintenance strategy with MPS and asset owner.
• Drive Asset Care and autonomous maintenance.
