Job summary

Saputo, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Lead for the Wensleydale Creamery site in Hawes, UK. You will lead the engineering team, oversee plant maintenance, facilities, and safety, and drive site performance aligned with EBITDA targets.

You will provide clear leadership, strategic guidance, and ensure adherence to best practices while developing a high-performing team across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree/chartered engineer or equivalent level; minimum HND.
• Minimum 5 years senior management experience in FMCG/food manufacturing or similar.
• Demonstrate resilience, flexibility and initiative.
• Excellent communication and people management at all levels.
• Strong knowledge of process/packaging and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Engineering team at Hawes site.
• Oversee maintenance of plant, buildings and facilities to high safety standards.
• Drive site performance improvements and maintenance plans.
• Manage R&M budget and asset care strategies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, food safety and HSE regulations.
• Governance over regulatory requirements and training of staff.
