Job summary

Wise London is seeking an Engineering Lead to join the Account Management team, owning the Current Account and Everyday banking experiences.

You will lead engineers across backend, web and mobile, shaping the technical roadmap, ensuring reliability, and driving features end-to-end while collaborating with PM and Design to determine what to build and why. The role blends hands-on coding with leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering background with focus on reliability and scale.
• Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
• Experience leading engineers and delivering cross-functional features.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team's engineers and own shipping roadmap.
• Write code, review designs and PRs, and drive features across backend, web and mobile.
• Own the team's technical roadmap and make architectural decisions.
• Partner with PM and Design, and provide sharp feedback on what to build and why.
• Collaborate across boundaries with related teams to align on account-related features.
