Job summary

Flock is hiring an Engineering Lead for the Acquisition team in Central London. You will co-lead with the PM to own delivery, reliability, and developer experience, shipping production code while coaching engineers and shaping AI tool usage to accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality.

You’ll lead API-driven development, leverage AWS serverless infrastructure, and collaborate with product and leadership to translate business goals into clear technical scope.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to co-lead delivery with a PM and own outcomes.
• Hands-on engineering with TypeScript in production.
• AWS serverless experience across services (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch).
• Pragmatic decisions balancing reliability, observability, cost, and speed.
• Strong communication and mentorship to raise team standards.
• Experience enabling AI-assisted development and DX improvements.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead delivery with the PM to ship features that drive growth.
• Write high-quality TypeScript and own end-to-end delivery to production.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into technical scope.
• Improve developer experience, CI/CD, observability, and release practices.
• Set technical direction and coach engineers on coding workflows and AI tools.
