Fletchers Solicitors Limited is seeking an Engineering Lead to head our AI-driven full-stack team in a hybrid role with options for remote work and in-person collaboration in Manchester or London.

You will own the systems and infrastructure that power our production AI tools, set architectural standards, mentor engineers, and lead the team as we scale from 10 to 20+ members while delivering fast, customer-focused solutions for legal workflows.

Qualifikationen

• Strong degree in a STEM subject from a top-tier university.
• Extensive software development experience with ownership of production systems.
• Experience defining backend and frontend architecture, standards, and technical direction.
• Experience leading development efforts or acting as a technical lead, including code reviews and mentoring.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working with users and customers (pre-sale, onboarding, integrations).
• Able to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements.

Aufgaben

• Design and drive the build of applications and services at the heart of production AI apps (backend: Python, frontend: TypeScript/React).
• Build systems that deploy, test, and improve apps used at scale.
• Create data integration pipelines from diverse sources (legacy systems, Word, PDF, SQL).
• Own software architecture and lead on infra/architecture design decisions.
• Own infrastructure, site reliability, and disaster recovery for production systems.
• Collaborate with infra/infosec to define AI standards.
