Job summary

Flock in London is seeking an Engineering Lead for the Acquisition team to own delivery, reliability and developer experience. You’ll ship production code and coach engineers, shaping how the team uses AI tools to move fast without sacrificing quality.

You will partner with the PM and Engineering Leadership to translate business goals into technical scope and measurable outcomes, driving improvements across CI/CD, observability and AWS‑based pipelines.

Qualifications

• Co‑lead a team with a PM, sharing ownership of delivery and outcomes.
• Hands‑on engineering with production TypeScript in a serverless AWS environment.
• Pragmatic decisions balancing reliability, observability and cost.
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising standards.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate business goals into technical scope.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and technical direction for the Acquisition team.
• Ship features that drive growth and improve time to market.
• Coach engineers through reviews, pairing and design discussions.
• Improve developer experience, CI/CD, and release practices.
• Define success metrics with the PM and track impact.
