We have an exciting opportunity for a Platform Engineering Lead in a large UK insurance company, focusing on improving workflow, building capability, reducing time to market, and supporting the delivery of Platform OKRs.

The Role

As a Platform Engineering Lead, you will serve as a technical leader, driving strategy and delivering results for a large UK insurance client.

Key responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with and be accountable to client platform leads, aligning with platform OKRs.
2. Ensure TCS teams are inducted and aligned with client ways of working.
3. Drive technical leadership, engineering excellence, strategy, and platform capabilities.
4. Coordinate with feature teams to resolve technical impediments.
5. Contribute to delivery governance, including client QBRs, big room planning, agile ceremonies.
6. Promote knowledge sharing within labs.
7. Support NPS score measurement and improvement initiatives.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

1. Experience in developing modern applications and channel experience design.
2. Mentoring large technical teams and advocating emerging tech trends.
3. Innovation, strategic thinking, and thought leadership.
4. Monitoring and improving engineering maturity within feature teams.
5. Experience with public cloud platforms.
6. Leadership in fostering engineering culture.
7. Experience in product-based organizations and agile methodologies.
8. Driving DevSecOps and automation practices.
9. Insurance domain experience is highly desirable.
10. Stakeholder management, storytelling, tech dependency management, tech debt, and risk management skills.
