Job summary

Step Into Teaching partners with a Further Education College in Bishop Auckland to recruit a Graduate Academic Coach for the Engineering department. This role suits an engineering graduate or experienced professional who wants to support students in their studies and help them succeed.

You will work closely with the Engineering team to aid academic development, boost confidence, and improve achievement in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Hold an Engineering degree or related qualification (2:2 or above).
• Strong academic understanding of engineering principles.

Job Overview
Step Into Teaching is partnering with a fantastic Further Education College in Bishop Auckland that is seeking an Graduate Academic Coach to join their Engineering department. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineering graduate or experienced engineering professional who is passionate about supporting young people and helping students succeed in their studies.

Working closely with the Engineering team, you will support students with the academic aspects of their engineering qualifications, helping to build their confidence, understanding, and achievement within the classroom. This role would suit somebody with a genuine enthusiasm for engineering, excellent communication skills, and an interest in education.

The Engineering Academic Support Tutor opportunity:

• Engineering Graduate Academic Coach
• Further Education College in Bishop Auckland
• £500 - £530 per week (term time only)
• Full-time Monday – Friday
• Opportunity to gain valuable experience within Further Education
• Ideal for aspiring teachers, lecturers, or engineering professionals looking to move into education
• Start September 2026 – July 2027

The successful Engineering Academic Support Tutormust:
