Our client, a well-established and professional geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering consultancy, is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Exeter. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for public and private sector clients, focusing on ground investigations and geotechnical analysis. The position involves site supervision of investigations and office-based analysis and reporting, primarily in Southern England, especially the South West and South Coast. Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer Salary & Benefits

• Salary £28,000 to £35,000

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct desk studies and prepare reports.
• Supervise and perform ground investigations, including soil and rock logging.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulators.
• Prepare samples and organize lab testing.
• Create site logs, data, and reports.
• Follow health, safety, welfare, quality, and environmental policies.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• SSSTS & CSCS qualifications and safety training.
• 1-3 years relevant experience.
• Interest in CPD and professional chartership (CGeol, CEng, CSci).
• Basic IT, communication, and numeracy skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively.
