Job summary

TipTopJob seeks an Engineering Geologist to join its growing ground engineering team in Sheffield. The role combines site and office work across renewable energy and infrastructure projects across the UK.

You will plan and supervise ground investigations, log geological data, manage site activities and produce factual/interpretative reports. A degree in geology-related field and UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject.
• 2+ years relevant experience within ground investigation, engineering geology or geotechnical consultancy.
• Experience with site investigation and geological logging.
• Good understanding of UK ground conditions.
• Strong report writing and technical skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to recruit an Engineering Geologist to join their growing ground engineering team in Sheffield, working on a range of renewable energy and infrastructure projects across the UK.

The role will involve a combination of site and office:based work, supporting projects across wind, solar, battery energy storage and associated infrastructure.

The Role

• Planning and supervising ground investigations
• Engineering geological and geotechnical logging
• Site supervision and contractor management
• Factual and interpretative reporting
• Ground model development and interpretation
• Geotechnical assessment of renewable energy developments
• Supporting foundation and earthworks assessments
• Reviewing ground investigation data and laboratory results
• Working closely with geotechnical, civil, environmental and energy specialists
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders

Requirements
