Job summary
Yolk Recruitment Ltd in Exeter is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Buyer to manage external service contracts and optimise facilities maintenance at a busy site. You will negotiate pricing, review quotes and ensure compliance across RAMS, insurance and health & safety requirements while coordinating with engineering and facilities teams to meet technical maintenance needs.
You will source suppliers, obtain competitive quotations, and support tendering activities, aiming to secure best value
Qualifications
- Experience in contract management or procurement for facilities or engineering services.
- Proven ability to negotiate, renewals and service agreements with contractors.
- Good understanding of HVAC, building services or technical building systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage approximately 50 external service contracts covering building services and site operations.
- Negotiate pricing, renewals and service agreements to ensure value for money.
- Review contractor quotes and specify scopes of work with vendors.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier negotiations and contract reviews.
- Monitor contractor performance against SLAs and KPIs.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to minimise impact on manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance documentation including RAMS and insurance certificates.
