Job summary

CBSbutler Ltd. is actively seeking an Engineering Excellence Manager to shape and develop the capability of the Engineering function within a defence/aerospace context.

This role focuses on engineering governance, PLM/ALM systems, configuration management, and digital engineering to support current and future programmes, working across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Programmes, HR and IT.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant engineering experience in Defence/Aerospace or regulated environment.
• Experience developing engineering capability or competency frameworks.
• Experience managing PLM/ALM systems or related engineering tools.
• Strong knowledge of configuration management and engineering documentation.
• Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and governance.

Responsibilities

• Developing the Engineering skills and capability strategy.
• Leading competency management, skills development and succession planning.
• Supporting engineering resource and workforce planning.
• Managing and improving PLM and ALM systems.
• Driving digital engineering and engineering systems improvements.
• Leading engineering configuration management across the product lifecycle.
• Ensuring drawings and technical data are controlled and compliant.
• Developing governance, standards and processes for engineering.
• Identifying and delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supporting audits, compliance and quality requirements.
