Job summary

W Manchester is seeking an exceptional Director of Engineering to join the pre-opening leadership team and shape the operational foundations, asset integrity and technical excellence of the new luxury hotel.

You will lead engineering, maintenance and facilities operations, manage budgets and capital projects, and build a high-performing team while partnering with ownership and regional teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences from day one.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in engineering/maintenance leadership roles.
• Strong budgeting and capital planning skills.
• Knowledge of building systems and life-safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering, maintenance and facilities operations to keep the property safe and compliant.
• Develop and execute engineering strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage budgets, capex and preventative maintenance programmes.
• Lead emergency response planning and life-safety matters.
• Build and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Collaborate with ownership and regional teams to optimize ROI.
