Job summary

Starwood Hotels is seeking an Engineering Manager in Manchester to lead and develop the hotel engineering team, overseeing maintenance of the building, M&E systems, and energy initiatives. You will coordinate safety, compliance, and 24/7 operations while driving cost control and capital planning with the General Manager.

The role requires a minimum of five years in a senior engineering role, hospitality experience preferred, and LEED-GA certification or commitment to obtain within the first year.

Qualifications

• Ongoing repair and maintenance of hotel facilities and related systems.
• Lead and mentor the engineering team and coordinate activities.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of the building, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and equipment.
• Lead energy management initiatives and seek energy efficient solutions.
• Conduct departmental meetings and performance evaluations.
• Manage departmental budget, forecasting and capital planning.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and fire safety procedures.
