Job summary

Experian Software Solutions (ESS) leads the Ascend Platform with a global engineering footprint. This role, Engineering Director, provides strategic engineering leadership across a worldwide organisation, balancing people leadership, modernisation, and delivery accountability.

The role reports into senior leadership within the Technology department. You will partner with product, engineering, and operations to shape how engineering teams operate, innovate, and deliver at scale across multiple

Qualifications

• Strong people leadership experience coaching and developing global engineering teams.
• Proficient in Java full stack, .NET, AWS, EKS, DevOps and related practices.
• Experience building strong relationships with global teams and leaders using data-driven decisions.
• Fosters innovation, continuous improvement, and learning across engineering groups.
• Experience using AI tools and driving adoption across teams.
• Demonstrates strategic mindset while delivering actionable engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead high-performing global engineering teams with clear priorities and accountability.
• Translate strategic objectives into executable plans with measurable outcomes.
• Embed AI, automation, and data-driven decision making into engineering practices.
• Lead modernisation, reduce legacy complexity, and promote new platforms and tooling.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Coach and develop people managers, supporting succession and leadership capability.
