Our client, a Health and Safety Consultancy, seeks an experienced Engineering and Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary design teams across major infrastructure projects in the utilities sector.

You will drive design governance, technical assurance, and resource planning while promoting continuous improvement, standardisation, and effective collaboration with clients, regulators and partners to ensure safe, compliant, and on-schedule delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams in major infrastructure or water sector programmes.
• Strong governance, assurance and risk management capabilities.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering and design teams across multiple projects and programmes.
• Represent the design function in meetings, providing updates on performance, risks and key challenges.
• Develop design management processes, standards and documentation.
• Oversee design governance, assurance activities and quality audits.
• Support standardised products and technical solutions to improve consistency.
• Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across design teams.
