Job summary

Bedford College Group seeks a Training Coordinator in Engineering to join the Apprenticeships department at Bedford College.

You will manage end-to-end apprenticeship delivery, conduct assessments, and provide coaching to drive learner progression while engaging with employers to plan and review programmes. The role supports quality, compliance and continuous improvement across delivery sites.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in Engineering disciplines or significant industry experience.
• GCSE English and maths (Grade 4+).
• Assessor qualification TAQA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end apprenticeship delivery, ensuring learners are inducted, supported and guided to achieve timely completion and End Point Assessment.
• Conduct initial assessments, deliver teaching and blended learning, carry out workplace reviews, and provide coaching to drive learner progression.
• Build strong relationships with employers, coordinate planning meetings, ensure alignment between job roles and standards, and provide progress updates.
• Maintain accurate documentation, ensure compliance with funding and quality standards, contribute to IQA processes, and use learner feedback to enhance provision.
• Collaborate with internal teams and travel to employer sites as required for programme delivery.

Education

Level 4 qualification (or significant industry experience) in Engineering disciplines
