Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. seeks a Centre Manager for the Engineering Apprenticeship Training Academy at LCY2 in Tilbury to lead day-to-day and strategic operations, ensuring high-quality engineering apprenticeship delivery and compliance with Ofsted and awarding bodies.

Reporting to the Senior Apprenticeship Program Manager, you will manage the centre budget, lead the training team, coordinate with external providers, and uphold safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel knowledge and SQL experience.
• Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
• Experience defining program requirements and using data/metrics to drive improvements.
• Experience in program or project management.
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
• Experience defining and executing program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Provide overall management of the Amazon Apprentice Academy at LCY2, developing and implementing the training centre strategy in alignment with organisational goals.
• Operational Management: Oversee all training centre operations, ensuring Health & Safety compliance and coordinating with RME teams.
• People Management: Lead, manage, and develop the centre delivery team and liaise with apprentice managers on progress.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Maintain and improve training standards, conduct quality assessments, and ensure Ofsted and awarding body standards.
• Safeguarding: Act as a trained Safeguarding Officer and manage safeguarding records and concerns.
