Job summary
Magellan Aerospace in Lancashire invites applicants for a practical engineering apprenticeship combining on‑the‑job training with college studies. You will develop quality inspection skills, learn offline CAD/CAM for CNC programs, and support engineering and production teams in improving processes.
No prior experience required; 5 GCSEs including Maths and English plus a Level 3 Engineering qualification preferred.

Responsibilities
- Undertake tasks aligned to training level and complete coursework on time.
- Develop quality skills through inspection of machined parts and documentation.
- Learn to use offline CAD/CAM software to create CNC programs.
- Support the creation of prove out sheets and set sheets per procedure.
- Understand customer specifications and engineering drawings.
- Identify and deliver process improvements with engineering and production teams.
- Provide detailed information to management for continuity of production.
- Work with minimal supervision while promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.
- Comply with Health & Safety policies and risk assessments.
