Job summary

Leonardo UK offers a four‑year Manufacturing Machining Apprenticeship combining on‑the‑job learning at the Transmissions Centre of Excellence with study at Yeovil College. The program starts with induction, then increases work placements across CNC machines and gear shop areas to build practical skills and industry knowledge.

Apprentices complete an End Point Assessment and contribute to STEM outreach while enjoying a company‑funded benefits package and hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English, Maths and Science at minimum with the requirement to achieve grade C/4 in Maths and English if not already.
• There will be a requirement to study and achieve a C/4 in both before the end of year 1.

Responsibilities

• Grow your knowledge of an engineering business.
• Develop practical skills in manufacturing and understanding key processes and technologies.
• Support early careers activities, including STEM ambassador work in schools, colleges and universities.
