More About The Role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as an Engineering Apprentice in Guildford with Signify.

This Apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to experience from day one what it is like to be an integral part of our team in a fast-paced working environment. Don't worry about your technical capabilities; you will learn about all technical aspects of lighting and their controls, including fault finding, commissioning, installation, quality investigations, surveys, and much more on the job and from attending college/university.

If you enjoy working with people and within a team, you'll enjoy this role very much. You will also have the opportunity to gain an apprenticeship qualification up to degree level if you choose.

During your 3-year apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work closely with internal departments including Customer Satisfaction, Sales, Lighting Design, etc.
• Learn about the latest lighting technology and their application.
• Gain full knowledge of the application, programming, and commissioning of lighting control systems.
• Register and manage complaints/issues within the Service Management System.
• Develop fault-finding abilities both within a workshop environment and in the field, providing resolutions.
• Learn how to perform electrical tests to complete root cause analysis.
• Gain understanding of different industry accreditation systems.
• Obtain external recognized qualifications with no university fees.

• Understanding of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with opportunities to learn on the job.
• Full driving license.
• GCSE/BTEC qualifications.
• Eager to learn, reliable, and proactive.
• Good communicator, team player, dedicated, passionate, energized, and motivated.
• Aged 16 or over, resident in England. Position is office-based in Guildford, Surrey.
