General Engineering Apprenticeship - Cyber pathway

Location: London

Are you seeking an employer to sponsor your qualifications while providing valuable on-the-job experience within a global, innovative organization? This apprenticeship develops skills in systems design and hardware engineering, with rotations across disciplines responsible for design, estimates, programs, and solutions aligned with project requirements.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Develop understanding of engineering through structured learning and training
  2. Deliver tasks on time and quality
  3. Work as a team-player, seeking guidance when needed
  4. Build knowledge and skills within engineering
  5. Communicate engineering issues effectively
Degree Apprenticeship Program

Study towards a Digital & Technology Solutions Apprenticeship at NorthEastern University, based in London Colney. The program covers core and specialist courses in digital and technology solutions, including software, business analysis, cybersecurity, data analysis, and network infrastructure.

Who we are looking for:

Enthusiastic, motivated, and committed individuals with a genuine interest in engineering and Hitachi Rail. Self-discipline, initiative, and a desire to achieve a degree are essential.

Entry Requirements:
  • BBB A Levels including Maths and/or Physical Sciences (120 UCAS points)
  • DD BTEC National Diploma including Maths and Physical Sciences (128 UCAS points)
  • D Extended Diploma in Engineering Technologies, with relevant modules
  • Access to HE with 24 Distinctions, 21 Merits, including Maths and Physical Science subjects
  • Equivalent level 3 qualifications with 120 UCAS points, including Maths and Physical Sciences

Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C (or grade 4+) including Maths and English.

Closing date: Applications close at 11:59 PM on Saturday, 31st May 2025. Only application period this year.

The candidate must have UK work permission by start date.
