Working as part of a team of Wireless Test Engineers, the Engineer (or Technician) will contribute to the provision of a wireless testing service undertaking RF (Radio Frequency), OTA (Over The Air), or SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) testing on a variety of wireless products, such as WLAN, Bluetooth, GSM, PMR radio, and base stations as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform RF certification testing in accordance with European and FCC specifications.
2. Test wireless products to various international test standards.
3. Assess products prior to testing and define test requirements resulting in a test plan.
4. Record test results using electronic logbook systems and produce test reports following company quality procedures.
5. Assist in the development of test methods and departmental documentation.
6. Work closely with customers during attended testing.
7. Monitor the calibration status of test equipment during testing.
8. Ensure all work aligns with the test plan provided by the manufacturer or as per quotation.
9. Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a relevant science or engineering discipline.
• Practical aptitude and experience in RF testing.
• Good understanding of IT systems, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with high analytical and pattern recognition abilities.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team within deadlines.
• Conscientious with good interpersonal skills and commercial awareness.
• Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Ability to work closely and professionally with customers, supporting flexible working hours for international clients.
• Experience in RF testing within a test house environment.
• Proficiency with RF test equipment such as spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, RF power meters, etc.
• Experience in test automation using packages like HPVEE, .NET, and LabVIEW.
• Understanding of radio performance standards such as ETSI and FCC.
