Job summary

As a Crane Engineer at Lloyds British in Erith, you will inspect, service and repair overhead cranes, hoists and related lifting equipment across customer sites. You will build strong customer relationships through your technical expertise and professional approach.

Essentially, you will carry out routine servicing, diagnose faults, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability. A Full UK driving licence and ability to work at height are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Previous experience maintaining, servicing or repairing overhead cranes and hoists.
• Good understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable working at height.

Responsibilities

• Building strong customer relationships by providing expert advice and excellent service.
• Working safely at height and following all Lloyds British safety procedures.

Crane Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Crane Engineer to join our team in Erith. If you're passionate about engineering, enjoy problem solving and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Crane Engineer, you'll be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of overhead travelling cranes, hoists and associated lifting equipment. Working across a variety of customer sites, you'll ensure equipment remains safe, compliant and fully operational while building strong relationships with customers through your technical expertise and professional approach.

Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For

You’ll be a qualified engineer with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge and experience working on cranes, hoists or similar lifting equipment.

Essential requirements include:

• NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience maintaining, servicing or repairing overhead cranes and hoists.
• Good understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable working at height.
