Job summary

Kingspan Water & Energy is seeking an Engineer Assistant to support our Engineering Team, combining field and office duties. This role offers hands-on training and progression into a Service Engineer position, with a focus on delivering high customer satisfaction.

Candidates should be in the Seaford/Brighton area and ready to join a dynamic, collaborative environment. The position emphasizes strong communication, technical knowledge, and on-the-job learning, with opportunities for development

Qualifications

• Technical experience with sewage treatment plants, pumping stations or similar equipment is beneficial but not essential.
• A strong foundation in electrical and mechanical principles.
• The ability to interact professionally with clients and ensure high satisfaction.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and software to manage tasks.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.
• A proactive attitude and desire to learn and develop in a technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Task Management: Use PDA software to receive and manage tasks effectively.
• Customer Communication: Proactively contact customers with accurate ETAs and notify delays.
• Reporting & Feedback: Complete detailed reports, provide feedback on job performance, and recommend improvements or alarms.
• Safety & Risk Assessments: Perform visual risk assessments and raise safety concerns with your line manager.
• Stock Management: Conduct monthly van stock checks and report on parts used to ensure correct procedures.
• On-the-job Training: Participate in on-the-job training and personal development courses as directed.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and motivatedEngineer Assistantto support our Engineering Team. This exciting role provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while undergoing training to progress into a Service Engineer position. As an Engineer Assistant, you will play a crucial part in both field and office-based support, contributing to high levels of customer satisfaction.We are keen to speak with candidates in the Seaford/Brighton Area.

This customer-facing role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and an understanding of customer care. You will be trained on our systems and procedures and have the chance to develop your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, we’re looking for candidates who have:

• Electrical/Mechanical Knowledge:A strong foundation in electrical and mechanical principles.
• Customer Service Skills:The ability to interact professionally with clients and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
• IT Proficiency:Comfortable using mobile technology and software to manage tasks.
• Clean Driving Licence:A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.
• Strong Motivation:A proactive attitude and desire to learn and develop in a technical environment.
