Job summary

Dunbia Group in Launceston is seeking a Skilled Engineer (electrical bias desired) to support the production site. The role involves ensuring plant equipment runs smoothly, maintenance tasks and collaborating with production teams.

The position is a Monday–Friday, 40-hour week with early start 05:00–14:00, on-site at Treburley. Overtime, call-out pay and training are provided, with a focus on safety, quality and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, commitment and the ability to accept responsibility are key in this role.
• Will be committed to working within the Company Mission, Vision & Values.
• Food industry experience is advantageous.
• Comfortable working at height.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring plant equipment is operating and functioning correctly.
• Proven Electrical / mechanical knowledge.
• Building maintenance.
• Stainless Steel fabrication TIG Welding an advantage.
• Maintaining equipment on a daily basis to ensure it is fit for its intended purpose.
• Continually developing to improve operations to drive improvements in quality, cost and safety.
• Assisting production with machinery problems and setups, providing relevant training when appropriate.
• Completing daily maintenance check sheets and job card.
