Job summary

West Devon site in Hatherleigh is seeking an Engineer with an electrical bias to support production at the Dunbia Group site. Hourly salary £17.93-£20.95 (pre overtime) and a 40-hour week from Monday to Friday.

Role includes maintenance of plant equipment, ongoing training, and a call-out rota paid at a premium rate. Overtime applies after 40 hours; pension with auto-enrolment is provided after 3 months.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, commitment and the ability to accept responsibility are key in this role.
• Food industry experience is advantageous.
• Comfortable working at height.

• Proven Electrical / mechanical knowledge.
• Building maintenance.
• Maintaining equipment on a daily basis to ensure it is fit for its intended purpose.
• Continually developing to improve operations to drive improvements in quality, cost and safety.
• Assisting production with machinery problems and setups, providing relevant training when appropriate.
• Completing daily maintenance check sheets and job card.

Job description

We have an opportunity to join the Engineering team at West Devon in Hatherleigh. We are looking for a skilled Engineer with electrical bias to support the production and site. Hourly salary betwee n £17.93-£20.95 (pre overtime)

Currently the shift is operating from Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 15:00 based on a 40-hour working week. The Engineers are on a grading system which is skill dependant and will be discussed upon inquiry.

20 days basic holiday entitlement + the 8 bank holidays

Dunbia use NEST as the pension provider with auto enrolment at the 3-month point.

Overtime is payable after 40 hours at a premium rate.

There is a call out rota which is generally one week in 4. This is paid at a premium rate.

We offer additional training to support Engineers in developing their skill set.
